An original carved wooden head piece that is freestanding but flat-backed so that it could be hung on a wall. There is a wire attached to do so. African in origin and believed to come from Gambia, with what appears appears to be elements of an elephant mask with possibly a trunk to the top in the middle Definitely striking and decorative with some age.
