Description
A vintage linen-backed map of the world – published in 1967 and attached to two wooden poles with a cotton loop for both tying the map up securely when rolled up and for hanging from when unrolled.
Published in 1967 by George Philip & Son this map is titled the Sandford’s General Map of the World this is the type of map that was widely used in schools in the 1960’s and the names of many of the countries are of that time being different in many cases to the names we know now.
There are signs of age, discolouration and a few creases etc as expected in a paper product of this age and historical usage.
