SOLD – Doctor’s sick’ning toil – Rowlandson
An antique hand tinted engraving published in 1814 and by the illustrator Thomas Rowlandson - known for his work on the Dr. Syntax series.
This piece is from a book called The English dance of death and is titled "The undertaker and the quack"

SOLD – Oxford’s spires – pre 1830’s
An original antique etching believed to pre-date the 1830's that shows an early view of Oxford possibly as seen from Ferry Hinksey Hill, across fields that contain two horse riders and a flock of sheep.
Mounted under an off-white card then framed and glazed pithing a simple thin black wooden frame that succeeds in not competing with the image within.

An early Edwardian antique walking stick / cane with bamboo shaft and 1903 hallmarked pommel / tip and collar which is also engraved with the owner's initials WVR in a script style and the maker's mark RHS.

A beautifully ornate and colourful mid-20th century Sri Lankan polychrome wooden ancestors mask that measures approx 17" high x 22" wide.
Hand-painted & carved and showing the snake god Naga Rakshasa surrounded by serpents and people.

An old and heavily used fairground ball game with the ageing, patina, bumps and scrapes that you would expect for a piece with the history and life it has led.
SOLD – Atsonea console table
A highly decorated reproduction Regency / Rococo style wall mounted console table / shelf made by Atsonea - probably from the 1950's.
Atsonea are known for making a range of decorative Regency and Rococo style furnishings, mirrors and other pieces in the 1950's and 1960's.
This piece is mainly wooden in construction with plaster and resin decorative areas finished in a gilt or gold paint.

Part of a much larger enamel sign that shouts the word MUSTARD across the room in heavy black Sans Serif type on a mustard yellow background.
The overall condition is good with signs of wear and corrosion visible on some edges.

SOLD – Mobo Prairie King horse
A vintage child's rocking horse made by Mobo in the 1950's and called "The Prairie King".
We are offering the horse only - with signs of patina (rust) and paint wear. The handles and footrests have been removed and are available on request.
A highly decorative piece that always raises a smile whilst nodding towards the bygone age of fairground gallopers.
SOLD – vintage optician’s trial lens set
An original vintage optician's optometry optical full trial lens set with lenses housed in a slotted tray that lifts out of the purpose built wooden case.
All the slots within the case have a lens and there are extra lenses provided. We believe that this set dates back to around the 1930's though would love to hear your thoughts on whether you agree or disagree.

SOLD – Bellini print in decorative frame
An impressively framed early print of the Doge Leonardo Loredano by Giovanni Bellini originally painted in 1501 and now displayed in the National Gallery in London.
This print was published by AC Black of Soho Square London and is part of the Menpes Series of Great Masters.
The frame appears to be made of moulded paper or paper-mâché that has a golden gilt finish. There are signs of wear to the frame that can be clearly seen in the photographs and add a certain charm and authenticity to the piece as a whole.
The frame is glazed with a wooden back and a paper covering that includes the publishers label.
The print is showing some signs of age, foxing etc and the overall piece may benefit from a clean - or not depending on your preference.

SOLD – antique telescope box
An antique unlined telescope case / box in good authentic antique condition with deep patina to the wood.
The top face has been personalised for R. Stammers R.E. - we believe R.E. to be Royal Engineers.
The fittings and hinges are brass and the leather or canvas handle has at some stage become detached and lost.
There is a lock fitted but there is no key available.
A panel is missing at the wide end of this box. This could be repaired easily or if your desire is to display by standing it on its end, the missing panel is not noticeable.
